Karen Quigley, LM, CPM, IBCLC
She/her
Born and raised in Dallas, TX, she lived in New Mexico for 28-plus years. She has been in Maternal Health care for 34 years as of May of 2023. Karen started as a Childbirth educator and doula and now is a Licensed Midwife in New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. Karen is also an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) She obtained her clinical experience/education in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and the Philippines. Having had many preceptors, with varied backgrounds and experiences made the journey rich and well worth the trek.
Karen has “caught” over 1,000 babies during midwifery studies, and has been a part of over 1400 births, as a doula, assistant, student, preceptor, and midwife.
She is a Mother to 7, then a grandmother to 4 so far... but very next in her heart is nurturing, educating, and serving the family in this wonderful season of the childbearing years. Karen believes that healthy low-risk mothers and babies under the care of a midwife thrive, and have far better outcomes. Being attended by the Midwifery model of care yields solid, complete, holistic care forging strong families. Karen holds tight to the truth that each family deserves this kind of care and to birth where and how they so choose with steadfast support.
Karen would love the opportunity to connect with you and talk further about your care options.
“ It is a short trip, long journey. Prepare for the journey”.
